Hi John,
Good day to you.
When you create your Sales Order using SE37 - you do not need any external program to call
BAPI_SALESORDER_COMMIT. You can use the following steps:
a. Logon to SAP
b. Launch SE37
c. From menu
Select Function Module > Execute > Test Sequences
d. In the popup window enter as follows:
First Blank Line - BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2
Second Blank Line - BAPI_SALESORDER_COMMIT
e. Click execute - You may see a warning popup at this time (no worries).
f. Now start entering all your header and line items under:
- Order_Header_In
- Order_Items_In - Click on line item to enter as many line items as you need
- Order_Partners - You need a sold to and a ship to - so you need to create 2 line item entries.
SH and SP with the relevant sold to and ship to.
g. Click ok and go back.
h. Now click on execute.
Expected Result: SalesDocument (Sales Order) will be saved and sales order will be shown.
Note: The SO is not yet saved in the SAP Database.
i. Now click the tick (ok) and go back.
It will now execute the 'BAPI commit' function automatically in sequence.
h. click on tick 'Ok' again.
i. click on save button (if enabled) [for some reason - normally order is saved]
j. Go back.
Expected Result: Popup called by BAPI Commit - where you need to enter some valid comment.
example: Order Type - Order # - <....>
k. click ok.
l. Now go to VA03
expected: The SO from step (h) above will be automatically defaulted here.
m. Click on search.
Expected Result: SO will be displayed by VA03.
Now to check the order for order completion (based on what is configured)
click on 'Goto' > Logs > In-completion Logs
Expected Result: Document is complete.
If you see any errors - first FIX them by going into order change (VA02) t-code.
