As per partner reply:
The part about the Inventory Counting Transactions is a statement, not a question. We need SAP to make the Inventory Counting and Inventory Posting functions available in the SAP Business One Service Layer API. The objects are available in the SDK via the DI-API and the UI-API, but not the HANA Service Layer API.
For the Serial or Batch selection, here is the information needed for the reply. We cannot see where SAP Business One is looking for the data that needs to be specified to identify which serial numbers are selected.
Version would be SAP Business One 9.1 HANA PL09 (The most currently available patch level, PL10 is expected this week but is not released yet)
Regarding the process.
- 1. Configure an Item Master as follows
- a. Manage Item by: Serial Number
- b. Management Method: On Every Transaction
- c. Issue Primarily By: Bin Locations
- 2. Create on hand inventory for the item, with quantity distributed among at least two bin locations in a warehouse
- 3. Create a Sales Order for a quantity less than the full quantity on hand. Right Click and Generate Pick List (or create Pick List via Pick and Pack Manager)
- 4. Open the Pick Ticket (in Released Status) by either right click View Pick List, or Pick Pack Manager, Released Drawer, Drill Down Arrow
From here, you can review the Bin Locations that contain the Item’s on hand quantity. You can Right Click and go into the Bin Location Allocation option, and you can review and/or specify and edit the Bin Location Allocations – Issue rows. You can specify one or more locations that have available inventory. (I specified two different bin locations, which generates a second line on the Pick Ticket for the same Sales Order line).
Per the Documentation, you should be able to also specify the Serial Numbers (which is required to update the Picked Quantity) by entering a quantity in the Picked Field. However, the option is not available in the right click menu, nor does the Ctrl+Tab function work. The GoTo Menu does have an option for Batch/Serial Number, but it is greyed out an unavailable for selection. If you try to use the Pick All button, or enter a quantity, you get a red error message in the System Messages Log window
Here is the text of the relevant documentation found here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sboh91/helpdata/en/b2/83ef280ddf4e019314938d1010bd29/content.htm

Although the documentation states that you should be able to specify the Serial Number in the Pick List, we did consider that perhaps the location to specify was on the base marketing document, in this case the Sales Order Line. However, when you go to the Sales Order Line and attempt to access the Batch/Serial Numbers screen, you get the following blue information message in the System Messages window.
